DVD For Band - About Releases

I videotaped a band in a local club. If I want to sell the DVD at their gigs, I assume I should get releases from all the band members and anyone else in the video. And also a location release from the venue.

But, what if I sell DVDs directly to the band for them to sell on their own? DO I need a release from the band to sell them their own DVD?

And also, when getting releases from the band, do I need a release from each individual member or can the bandleader sign for the entire band?

I wish I had an answer to this question, but I don't. I do have an additional one for consideration though....

Was this band doing all original songs, covers, or a combination? If there's ANY covers in their sets, you're crossing into legal areas w/ ASCAP and BMI.
