DVD Disc to Final Cut

I am building some demo reels and unfortunatly some of my earlier projects i didn't output to mini dv so all I have is a dvd disc

I know its not an ideal situation but what is the best method to get back from dvd to final cut pro
 
You can go from your dvd player (RCA's) to your camera and (firewire) into your mac. Just make sure you go into the camera menu and set "video in" (also you'll need to capture as a non-controllable device)
