DVD/BluRay/Flash project creation

Hey Guys, So I have a dvd/bluray project that I'm putting together and I want to make it playable off a usb key. Is flash the only practical way of doing this? It's an HD project and I don't want to print it out to DVD, but nobody has bluray players, so I figured if I could make it a playable file off a usb key it would be the most universally playable, but I can't find a format that is playable and can handle the menus system besides flash. and flash opens into a web browser and doesn't seem to like the higher quality 1080p higher bit rate stuff (seems geared to more like 720p 5mbs, not 1080p 25mbs.)

I'm exporting from encore cs6

any ideas would be appreciated.

Yeah…that's kinda the problem and why you don't see too much HD content published to USB drives.
The video might be choking because of the USB drive. Is it USB 2?

It's not the playing off the drive that is the issue, I guess I'm just wondering if Flash is the only option.

It seems like there should be an option for computer playable "DVD/Bluray" files. I don't want to give up my menu system, but I will only have trouble if I print up Bluray. and DVD's are only SD. Is there a good practial option? I wish Wmplayer could play iso or bdmv files natively.

Ok, but still, not perfect. It's for a video that is like a corporate handout, and I want it to be easy to use (dummy proof). Even if there were some kind of program that you could make the DVD into an executable file.

There's the problem…you need to make a presentation that anyone can view. Relying on having third party players installed in a corporate environment is going to be trouble. Too many IT departments don't allow individual computers to install any unapproved software. Executables are also going to be a no go. There are very few universally available players, but the two things you can expect anyone to have access to are DVD players and web browsers. I know you don't want to go SD, but DVD is a safe bet. If you need to stick to the USB, then look at something that plays back through a standard web browser. There are limits to the quality and functionality, but that's the trade off of making something that people will actually be able to watch.

Thanks Andrius, It seems like there is an opportunity there since everything is going away from disc based media, but you don't necessarily want to give up you branding and menu functionality.

Yeah, there's been a real lack of interest in tackling physical media delivery beyond DVD and BluRay. The internet is great and all, but sometimes you do need a physical delivery method.
