I was just wondering what the going rate was for DVD authoring and/or how you charge for it, by the minute, how many menus, etc. It'll be a dvd for a company that has several products to sell, etc.

We mostly do our own projects in-house, but when we've priced it with firms that do authoring (usually also replication and other services), I've seen pricing from about $400 to $4000, depending mostly on complexity.
A lot of places seem to charge by the hour, and last I checked (which was several years ago) the going rate for a company was between $70-100/hour, with the average project being 15-40 hours. When we do take on other authoring projects, it's usually around $40/hour, but we can usually estimate pretty accurately up front how many hours (assuming the client accurately represents what they want.)
Just keep in mind it's like web design... get VERY clear specs and make it clear that multiple changes will increase the cost.
