Does DVD Architect 4 allow you to do resolutions up to 1080 or 1440? I've been messing around with InstantHD and wanted to put my 1080 file on a dvd to watch on the TV. I have DVD architect 3 and it only is SD. Can you put 1080 resolutions on a regular dvd, or does it have to be those special "HD dvd's". Also, if DVD Architect 4 doesn't support 1080, and it is possible to do this in any other software, please let me know.

Thanks

If you want to burn HD onto a normal dvd at the resolution your expecting. Then its possible. ON A DATA DVD. Which means you just copy the HD file onto the DVD. DVD ARch is a dvd authoring solution meant only for video, pic, media based dvd formats and formats which comply to the internation DVD standard. Those standards means sticking to the resolutions David Jimerson has mentioned above. That is the standard any dvd player will accept. But a DATA DVD is nothing to do with Video. Its not DVD VIDEO. Hence you can burn even text document or whatever you want onto a blank dvd. So use nero or something else to just copy your hd file onto it (as long as the file fits onto the dvd's capacity). Then that dvd can be used on any pc drive (but not on your standard dvd player) ro read the HD file out. If you have one of those HD DVD Players that will accept files on a dvd then that type of player can also play this hd file. Hope this clears the air on your confusion.
