Ok, so like a dummy, I only purchased Vegas 5, back in the day - thinking I would use some other DVD Authoring system. So now I'm looking into maybe getting Sony's software, but it looks like it only comes in bundled packages with Vegas. Is this correct? Can I just buy the DVD Auth software somewhere? I downloaded the trail version thru sonymedia, etc.... but can't find anywhere to purchase it by itself. Options? Or....is there another good authoring software?

No, you can't buy it separately. But since you already have Vegas 5, for the price you'd pay for other good DVD authoring software, you can probably upgrade to the Vegas (6) + DVD bundle.
