DVD Architect render ?

Hello all, I'm new to the DVD Architect software and Vegas 4.0. I have a question but first let me say I love it, the only down fall so far is that its very addicting and knowing when to say I'm finished takes a lot of control. :)

My first question is, should I render after each work session to help make the final render go faster?

I'm sure I'll have more questions as I play some more.

Also this board rocks. I love you guys 8)

Re: DVD Architect render ?

I've never bothered to pre-render anything, only at the end. Seems to render absurdly fast to MPEG-2, it's been a while since I've done it but it seems like the render was around real time. Obviously this will vary with how fast your system is.

Re: DVD Architect render ?

I make a file called DVD workspace, and pre-render all of my menu clips (both video and audio using the DVD architect MPEG video stream, and AC3 audio), building loops exactly the way I want them to appear. This seems to save time on the final render, especially helping with do-over's because of mistakes in menu clip lengths etc. I hope this makes some sense.

If you know you're DONE with a segment in your sequence (if you're SURE you won't be changing anything), you can render to a new track and mix down the clips/transitions/etc in that segment. This will definitely save time in the final render.

But be SURE you won't want to change anything . . .
