DVD Archetict Major Problem

okay here i have an issue, tell me wha tis wrong.....i filmed my niece's birthday party..its about 1hour and 40 min long. I rendered it off vegas as an MPEG2 files with a seperate AC3 audio file. I imported that into DVD archetict . I created the menus and everything...after i optimize the DVD and start to burn the project, at about 80% of the burning, the raid hard drive where I set the dvd archetict temporary dvd folder, and where the original mpeg2 files were located crushes and the hard drive disapears from windows. The burning process stops and dvd archetic searches for missing files. I am forced to shut down the computer and re-start to bring back the raid drive status to online in windows. As a result i loose the burn file and i am forced to re-start. What is the reason that this happens and what are the solutions.​

Clearly it shouldn't be doing that. Can we get more information:
1. Do you have other software that successfully burns DVD's? Just want to make sure this is unique to DVDA - software vs hardware problem.

2. This is a little bit of a scary idea, but maybe try burning a small project from a different drive just to eliminate that as a possible source of the problem.
