I am making a SD DVD. Video going into the project is 720x480. Footage is all interlaced shot at 29.97

1. I render to MPEG2- For DVDA
2. Audio is AC3 For DVDA

On my video settings I do the following
Video Render Quality BEST
VBR 2 Pass 8,000,000 MAX 6,000,000- 192,000 MIN
I do NOT include the audio stream - render that seperatly

* Will I get a better image if I select a constant Bit RATE? This video is going to a manufacturer for DVD replication.
* Will I get a better picture If I select under Field Order- "progressive"

Thanks

1) Maybe, but maybe not. It's usually not necessary at all.
2) No. In fact, you may cause DVDA to recompress it and get a worse picture.
