DVCPRO-HD to SD - which codec is best?

We've just finished a project in Final Cut Pro that was shot on a HVX200 in DVCPRO-HD 720P. We've created the whole project within this codec to avoid loss of information. But now we have come to the point where we have to deliver the project for broadcast on television in SD. Which codec would be best to convert to in order to get the best result on tv? DVCPRO50? Uncompressed? Another codec?

Thanks in advance for your help.

It really depends on who you're sending it to. Some people will only accept a BetaSP or Digibeta, so you just have to output your project to tape. Hopefully your NLE/hardware does a downconvert for you.

You should archive in DVCProHD, and convert to whatever SD format the client asks for when they ask for it. Some do DV, some will ask for Tape. It just depends.

Thanks for your reply Demistate. We simply have to write-out to Digibeta, so that takes away the problem for now. Yet sometimes we also deliver files, either as uncompressed or dvcpro50 and I am still quite curious about which conversion would be the better choice in this case. Or maybe the difference would be so small it will not be noticed?
