Hi there;

Since i removed my raylight package from my computer,DVCPRO HD compression option under the quicktime exportsettings.As far as i remember i had it before i install the raylight.I mean shouldn't it be default in cs3?I remember that i also needed to install raylight decoder to see DVCPRO HD QT videos on desktop.To uninstall and install the cs3 again will solve the problem ?.Cause i remember i render out very nice QT movies with that codec.Now i dont have it!!!!

Raylight installs a QuickTime DVCPROHD codec for Windows, so uninstalling Raylight will remove that as an option. QuickTime for Windows does not include a DVCPROHD codec as part of the package--hence the reason that without Raylight, you can't play, import, edit, or export to DVCPROHD. Can you install just the DVCPROHD codec by itself? Or maybe check with DVFilm as they do make a standalone Windows QT DVCPROHD codec.

I dont think i can be,cause i have the raylight package and it includes decoder installer and raylight installer,i installed the encoder back as the same logic of your but dvcprohd codec didn't turned back.Weird...Maybe i can install the raylight back all,but not to use it for importing and on the editing process..Can it be?

The codec is probably locked to the installation of the full Raylight package, so you need to have Raylight in place in order to use it. You could try talking to the guy from DVFilm to see if there's some upgrade/downgrade price to get just the encoder/decoder by itself... this right here is what you need.

I never used Raylight, so I don't know how it interacts with the now-native MXF editing capability--others might be able to offer some advice in that regard.
