dvc30 vs dvc60 vs sony pdx10

hi everyone,

my department needs to get two cameras and we have come down to the dvc30, dvc60, and pdx10 as candidates. Which two should we get?
(cameras will be used for a summer intro to documentary production class--interviews, interior, exterior). Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Re: dvc30 vs dvc60 vs sony pdx10

I would get the DVC30 smaller and cheaper than the DVC60 and exactly the same besides the XLR, the pdx10 is a little older technology but has 16:9 and XLRs.

I think the DVC30 is the absolute best at the sub 2000 dollar range. Even if you are still considering the PDX10, why not look into the GS400, another sweet camcorder.

I say dvc30 all the way!
