DVC-PRO w PAL framerates supported in CS3?

Does Premiere pro CS3 natively support DVC-PRO? As in without having to use other software to convert it first?

And if so, does it support native framerates?

I haven't been able to find answers to these questions anywhere, so I hope that you lot can help us out on this one.

Sort of. If you buy the full Creative Suite that includes OnLocation, then you'll have the DVCPRO-HD batch converter (I believe); if that's included then you'll have the ability to convert MXF files into Premiere-compatible AVI files. Which is meaning that you'd have to use software to convert first, yes, but at least it's included.

Far and away the best choice is Raylight, which does away with all conversion steps. But that only solves the issue for Premiere Pro itself, it doesn't address making the files compatible with AfterEffects or any of the other programs. To get the HVX files into those other programs you'd need to convert them to .AVI files (which raylight can do, or the aforementioned DVCPRO-HD batch converter can do as well).
