DV Trailer

As a new voice on this board, (Thanks Craig), would you stop on by and tell me what you think of this trailer.

This film is from the same Director that will be directing two films for our current project. It IS a DV feature though it was shot on the XL-1. All of our current and future projects will be shot on the DVX. My DP is dying to use it since Panasonic flew him out to NY for a workshop on the HD camera and the DVX.

Re: DV Trailer

do you have it in anything but real? My real alternative player wont play it.
I am just not a fan of that virus errr program :)

Re: DV Trailer

I have the "real" RealPlayer, and it won't play it either. Says there's no update available to play it.

Suggest Windows Media or Quicktime. Everyone hates Real.

Re: DV Trailer

Couldn't view it either.

As a side note, for those who want honest feedback about anything like this (a screenplay, a trailer, etc), the best way to get it is to remove yourself from the equation. I will bet there would be much more direct response, and a lot less "wow, that's great" type of posts, to this thread than to any other that asks for feedback, because you're not asking for feedback about your own work, but about the work of someone you're considering hiring.

Can't remember who, but someone once said that if you want honest feedback about your screenplay, don't tell someone "I wrote this, what do you think?" Instead say "I'm thinking of buying this script to produce, what do you think?" Even if you wrote it yourself. And say that to anyone who reads it: your mom, a professional screenplay consultant, anyone. That way they'll give you honest, direct feedback, without worrying about your feelings. And that's a way for you to find out how good you really are, and how far you may have yet to go.

Re: DV Trailer

I'm sorry. I can't explain why it won't work for you...i just checked it and it works fine. I'll look into it.

I don't like Real Player either but that's the only coding I had...Any one have a converter to Media Player or Quicktime or an Idea how I can do that?

The trailer is NOT mine though, it's a project that was done by my Director and my DP. It's being edited now. I guess they had some major computer problems and had to re-upload all of the footage.

Re: DV Trailer

I usually have REAL but just reformated and im sticking with the masses this time and just not installing that robot that tries to take over the world (my system)

So asap, get it in a quicktime format cause we all really want to see it alot!
