dv tracking dolly

I have an opportunity to havea third year film student build me a stand on dolly with tracks for 200 Canadian. The platform would be large enough to stand and put a jib on it as well as have a rail to push.

Is there anything out there similar? A dolly with a stand on platform? Links? Is it worth it?

oh, and the track he can build also pivots at the joints to allow curved tracks.

hmm, after seeing things in the diy forum, im beginning to think that maybe i can build one myself easily. Only thing would be it would be a straight track dolly. Would still like some input though.
