DV to HD online

So, I shot HD with Cinealta, downconverted to DVcam, edited, now need to send the project to Online house to ONLINE and capture finished proj. at 10 bit...

Should I.....

create a EDL???

Or use the media manager ?????

If the second one, can someone that has done it please explain, yes I read the book, manual, online help , but I wanna know how you use it in real world...

Shot on Cinealta, down to DVcam, edited... 6 trks of audio, 3 of vid.. Offlined with fcp504... to be onlined on same FC version, BUT different system.....

the book Optimizing Your FCP System has a valuable step by step guide for onlining. i assume your DVCAM and HD sources have matching timecode?
 
Well I would get the book it is an awesome book I have it and use it all the time. there are a couple of ways to do it. You can make an edl or you can export an Xml file to give to your online house. Check out Ken Stones FCP page there is some tips on doing this with the media manager. Just do a google search
 
yeah, averything has same TC, offline is matching TC from HD with Window burn so it;s alll the same.....
