Suppose i edit and add filters to a DV Clip using Vegas, render it, then transfer the footage to After Effects to add an effect process. then back to Vegas for final editing...is it recommended to render the movie in an uncompressed format until the final editing? or should i just render it using DV codec all the way? will there be any recompression? I have done both and there seem to be no difference in terms of quality (or i may have a bad eye). I would like to know in a technical stand point whether there's a recompression or even a slight degradation in quality by using DV codec all throughout.
I have always used uncompressed format in dealing with this scenario just to be
safe , but the trade off is the huge file size.
anyone who can enlighten me on this issue will be greatly appreciated.
