DV microsoft AVI to Mac environment FCP

Hi there !

I'm having a problem reading a DV microsoft AVi file on my mac. I get the sound but no image. I figured that it should be a codec issue... but never find one to make it work.

The file has been exported from a PC using premiere pro 2 and a DV microsoft codec.

Any help on that ?

Good Luck! It can be weird and has issues, but when it works it is amazing. I recommend converting before you bring into Final Cut depending on how fast your machine is.

i would try perian or flip4mac. and then open the clips in fcp and saving it as a quicktime reference movie. it saves a lot of time.
