Hello,
I'm sure I can read a book or two, or buy a video (and if you have any you'd like to recommend, I'm all ears). But, as a budding DP in a part-time promotional video company, I'd like to get some professional training in lighting for DV. (I have no formal training.)
There's a weekend course by a guy named Tom Musto. Costs $425, up in Wilkes Barre, PA. I don't know if any of you are familiar with that, but I'd welcome any comments. http://www.videocameraclass.com/lighting.html
Other ideas? Other courses not far from Washington, DC.? Would I do just as well with a book and/or DVD? (Yes, I'm sure I'd do best with a dedicated lighting specialist on set, but I still feel like I need to know something myself.)
Thanks!
