Is anyone aware of any instructional videos for setting up DV or HD lighting? I would prefer HD (I'm using an HVX), I have books on the topic, though I figured something must be out there that can clearly demonstrate issues, and proper settings, etc.
I haven't seen them myself - but I've heard good reviews.
EDITED TO ADD:
Though now that I look at the site - it looks like you can't order JUST the lighting set, looks like you have to order the entire course.
Not sure though. I'm sure Rush will jump in here to clarify
Digitaljuice is good and easy to watch. With the digital cinema course i believe if you tell them you are a dvxuser.com member they will give you a good chunk off original price. And if Im not mistaken doesnt Barry have a dvd on high def cams....
I have even been on youtube.com looking at some of their tutorials.. .some lame though and some good however, you can still learn from them. I think its the repetition of learning, especially with something so complicated as lighting, where it all begins to make sense. Even learning about meters; spot, indiscense (sp ?), color has helped me make sense of how lighting works versus what you see visually. Understanding lighting temps is crucial too.
Not knowing how far along you are, if you want, i can always provide some links of places i have been too. I don't mind as doing so will repeat what i have already gone over giving me the chance to pick up something else.
