Hey guys. My wife says I should go to one of the weekend DV retreats sometime. Problem is, I probably won't be able to go again for some time. So would you guys say the DV Expo west is the one I should go to? Or should I wait for NAB? And is it worth it to pay for the package (400 or so) or should I just go for the vendors and use that money to buy something cool? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah I've almost got my wife convinced that going on a trip and taking a steadicam class together would be fun...
listen to your wife - not sure what the $400 package entails but if its seminars and knowledge I'd go for that unless theres a certain piece of equipment you really need. Knowledge is worth its weight in gold.
