Wrong camera make, still I will post my question, maybe someone knows. So, I just realized that the V1U can shoot DVCAM in 24p mode. I tried both "24" and "24A" modes, enabled "2-3 pulldown removal for DV" in Vegas, no dice. I manually set in clip properties "Enable 2-3 pulldown removal", my clips are now 24p, but I still get one judder frame out of four in "24A" mode and two judder frames out of four in "24" mode. I use Vegas 8.1 Pro. Any ideas? I have no problems with pulldown removal in HDV mode, Vegas does it automatically for HDV/24A video. I just wanted to try shooting DV.
Interesting that Vegas Pro 9.0c has the following issue fixed: "Fixed an issue with removing 2-3 pulldown from AVI/DV 24p sources." but they don't say what issue that was exactly.
