DV Converter?

Hi,
I posted this elsewhere on the forum but got no responses...I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what I need to purchase in order to view my work (in AE or FCP) on my television. I know that a few companies make DV Converters which seem to be the right thing, but I don't need it to transfer TO my computer, just need it as some sort of output device (I assume it will be going from the firewire on my powerbook) so I can see exactly what I'm looking at when color correcting, etc. instead of my computer monitor. Any help is greatly appreciated.
 
Well what you REALLY want is a broadcast monitor and a proper deck. Then you can watch your output via firewire on a properly calibrated monitor.

To view your output on a tv monitor you should be able to use your camera as a go-between. Firewire linking computer to camera, and rca out from teh camera into the tv. I think anyway!
 
i totally share downfront's need: i'd like to be able to see my output on TV without having to hook the camera all the time. i'd like to have a permanent connection there.
i guess there could be issues with the quality of the analog outputs though.
