DV Caddie?

Has anyone used it?

I have used the DV Rig pro and love it. But I have a project where I need to be under the radar, and while I love the Pro Rig, may be a bit too eye catching. So any body have any comments.

The DvRigJunior is exactly for "Under the Radar" jobs.

Have a look at www.dvtec.tv

I have the DV Caddie (purchased from EVS) -- I really like it except for the fact that I'm short -- and it's strenuous to keep the DV Caddie balanced above your shoulder for shooting taller people. If I used it at my eye level I would be looking up people's noses.:(

So using the techinique on DV Caddie's website, to shoot above your head, you shoot with the DV Caddie's support struts on your shoulder -- but believe me, after shooting a days worth of standups using that technique -- you get bad case shoulder 'itis. I did it yesterday with the DVX on top of it.

Other than that -- I love the design of the DV Caddie and the black unobtrusive look. I've had for a couple of months and used it 1/2 a dozen times and it's really solidly made. I especially like the locking levers that can pull out and adjust rotation.

I would like to upgrade to the DVrigJunior because of the ablility to adjust and lock down the height of the support strut. It seems all it is, is a spring loaded monopod with a holster and neck strap.

I will sell you my DV caddie for $190 shipped ... I can send you pix of the rig if you like. If you're not interested I'll see if Rush will take a trade-in.

Hi Sanchez, I ordered a few of the DVJr. rigs. We will have them in stock in a few days. Contact me about selling your caddie. :)
