DV-6 SB bubble level light

Hi, I bought a used DV-6 SB head and I cannot get the bubble level light to come on. I don't know if it doesn't work or if I'm just doing something wrong. Any suggestions? Thanks
 
Lightly press down on the bubble, maybe you have to have a figure under it also, the ones I have used have that feature, I myself have a dv8 and thats what I do to turn my light on
 
It takes a little force, if it doesn't come on check your battery for voltage and to make sure the orientation is correct. Good luck!
 
Thanks for the replies. The 3v battery checks out to 3.2 volts. I have it oriented with + up as shown on the little clip that holds the battery. I've tried pressing it about as hard as I dare. I guess it just doesn't work. Thanks
 
Figured it out, I had to give it a few hard "taps" and then it came on. Before I was just pressing on it.
