Where can you purchase rolls of duvatene in NYC?

I'm sure B&H has it, just not sure if the price is great. By the way it's spelled Duvetyne... and also check theatrical equipment rental places... almost any place you can buy expendables such as gels you should be able to find Duvetyne.

You can also pick up partial rolls on ebay.

B&H does not sell it, they have a black fabric, but it's reflective (I confirmed this yesterday when I was in the store).

The best place to get Commando Cloth / Duvetyne in NYC is at Rosebrand. They have the best prices period and you can get huge dimensions for great prices, they're right in NYC
