Dust Light Streaks

Have used Haze (smoke machines) a number of times to create smoke streams, cutting the light for hard light streams, but how do a create a dusky look in those streams of light, dust that seems to Hang in the air,

any ideas??

Usually it's done with Fuller's Dirt or a substitute that does the same kind of job.

Cheers Ryan, do you know how its used, do you throw it, use a fan ?? and can anyone remeber any refence films for this look i know ive seen it before i just can't rememeber. Just reading that link is it safe to use in the air with actors around it ?

For what you want, I'd suppose the 'clapping two erasers' type approach would work. Is it safe? Inhaling most airborne particles in quantities greater than normal air, is probably bad for you over long periods of time. That 'warning' on the site I believe is about fuller's dirt in general.
