Duplication houses...

Can Duplication houses be trusted not to steal your work when you send your project off to get duplicates made? Should you send them a photocopy of the copyright? My work has Disclaimers, the little copyright symbol and I have watermarks on the screen. I am working on selling a DVD later this summer. Since I am going straight to DVD do I need to keep the watermark on there? I guess I could take it off because the disc will be copy protected and the dvd will be copyrighted as well.

I think dupe houses are the least of your worries - at least any reputable one. A copyright symbol and a warning are probably more than adequate. If you're selling the piece, it seems watermarking the screen might be too much. The fact is, anyone can "steal" it, even if the disc is encrypted.

Yea well I took the watermark off but I did have the word DEMO pretty large on the screen. I lowered the opacity so its sort of transparent so they can't steal it even if they wanted too...I did that for my demo only.
