Duplicate MXF different name problem

I did a search and I found no help.

I copied my cards on my HD and when i am importing them in CS4 with media browser it only bring half of them. If I try to slide the ones missing in, it does so but rename it the same name as one that is already there.

It looks like its a duplicate of the same file but the card gave it a different name... (when i plauy the right one and when I play the one that is supposed to hav a different name, its the same video.

To be clear, on my HD in the file with all the elements of the card copied, there is a clip named 0004RA, and one that is 0005EI. When I try to import via MB, it only import 0004RA. Then if I try to slide the one missing (0005EI) it changed its name to 0004RA!!!
CAn someone explain what is going on?
 
Is it a spanned clip? Is the first part (0004RA) 4GB long? If so, it's probably a spanned clip, meaning that 0005EI is actually the second half of 0004RA, and so it's working properly by stitching the two spanned halves together.

But, they shoudl have made it such that the second clip have a similar name liek this 000A5E_B.
 
They're not meant to be human-readable, they're meant to be P2-aware. The key to figuring it out is because the numbers were one step apart: 0004ra and 0005ei.

I'm assuming you didn't use the media browser to import? unless I'm mistaken, the media browser would have only shown 0004ra and would have hidden 0005ei.
