You have to turn the scene twice! The camera musn't move so use a tripod. In FCP capture your both video and cut them so you see the right side of one and the left side of one and your artist will be duplicate. For better results, use the manual focus so it won't change in your to scene and manual white balance as well as manual iris because you don't want a side to be darker or brigther!

Shoot the actor mutiple times in different areas with a camera on a tripod.
Import clips into FCP.
Drag one take into sequence.
Drag different take and place one layer higher in sequence.
Add 4 point garbage matte effect.
Adjust points to create a box around your actor.
You should now see 2 actors.

I will show once we start production just finished a video for an artist from atlanta once I start editing I'll post screen grabs it's my first time using the dvx in 24p mode for my own project I did a behind the scenes for another music video shot on varicam.
