Dummy Vmount to AC?

Does anyone know of a dummy vmount battery/adapter that can get plugged into AC to power the camera through a vmount hanger. It sounds a little backwards, however, a product like this would be very useful to me.

I've taken a broken gold mount battery and spliced in a 4-pin XLR cable before.

The official answer is: The IDX AC-100, or the Sony AC-DN10.

According to a review of the IDX AC Adapter on B&H it may only be compatible with IDX battery plates.

Let us know how the adapter works for you. Been thinking about adding some of these to my LEDs, & ditching their proprietary AC bricks.

So I realized that I may not need to use any of these. I have Kayo Maxtar vmounts. They get charged through a side Dtap on the battery. It seems that you can also plug in the charger for continious AC power through the battery. The battery has overcharge technology so it seems like it's a good solution for me. Also, if the AC power gets disconnected, the battery kicks in.

That may be OK, I'd certainly test it first, especially to see if the power adapter can really haul the load of camera and battery charging.

But you do point out a very good side effect that if the AC is kicked out, you shouldn't lose any files.

Camera is reading 17.4v steady when plugged in. When unplugged the voltage drops to 16.5 range and goes down from there until it's too little for the camera to be powered.
