Duh !!

remember my previous post about trying to edit fbehind the scene footage shot with a small HD panasonic camera?

Turned out Vegas IS able to open MOD and MOI files. It did give me an error message while I imported the files but if I click OK to teh error message it opened the files and plays them just fine.

HOWEVER David, can you tell me how to get the image to look properly proportioned? Right now the image is square and not widescreen. the camera recorded in wide screen. Why is vegas not able to see it?

I changed the setting in "property" to reflect "1.2121 (NTSC DV Widescreen)" and put the frame rate at 29.970 NTSC cause I think that small camera probably films in normal video rate... I still see some artifacts...

If I am able to resolve these last two issues, I will be able to post some footage showing me filming wich I know many of the dvx users have been asking for...

:) almost there!!

Thanks David!

I noticed you put a "?" at the end of your sentence... Does that mean you are not sure... Let me know...

I wasn't aware I can change the property of a clip... Do I just right click the clip, go to "property" and then do it there? Seemed to be a display only type of box, I thought (sorry I'm at work rigth now so I can't access Vegas to double check...)

Did not know for sure where you made the change.

Yes, you can right-click on a clip, choose "Properties," and then change the pixel aspect ratio.
