Duel Systems Adapter is Slow!!!

Hey Everyone,

What kind of transfer performance are you getting with the DuelSystems adapter? I just got the DS adapter the other day and after a few tries i got it to work, which is great, I don't even mine the reboot for now...But i noticed the when using the DS to transfer (an 8 gig card), that it was signifigantly slower than the same transfer via PCMCIA on my PowerBook G4.
My 15" MBPro Core2 took a full 18 mins to transfer(to internal HD) a full 8 gig P2, whereas my PB G4 only took 9 mins. Is this the norm or I am just that lucky? Can you share your transfer performances?

i only recorded the times 1 time with maxed out cards, we usually dump before we max out. but kept the pace up quite nicely. Primo
 
Hi Everyone,

Having just dump big $ into a P2 Store, I am still looking at the Duel-System adaptor for my MBPro. However, seeing mix reviews here of the transfer rate. What's going on, can anyone point out why it takes 18 min. for 8gig transfer while some people its only 4:45? Is there a firmware upgrade or something.

Ok. I tried the Duel Adapter in Boot Camp on my MBP and it works great. I am getting transfer speeds of 6 mins for a full 8 gig card.
So there must be something with the Mac drivers on 10.4.8 that are causing slow performace.

Can anyone else post their speeds on 10.4.8?
