So, I'm graduating this spring from College and although I've been interning at a badass post house here (www.light-borne.com), things aren't looking too promising as far as a job goes. There are opporuntities out there, but not too many in terms of doing something I'd be happy with.
So I ran into a fellow on a car forum (I'm an EVO owner/fanatic), and he's moving from Texas to Dubai with his wife and taking his car with him. So I started asking him questions and he just explained that Dubai is a lot like American but cleaner and a paradise atmosphere. English is spoken almost everywhere, signs are in English and Arabic, and YOU HAVE NO TAXES TAKEN OUT UNLESS YOU MAKE OVER $85,000/YEAR.
So, I have friends who have been there and say it's incredible and beautiful and such. I've never thought of ever leaving Ohio soon, or even the country, but our economy is gonna take a while to turn around, and work is getting slow at my internship, and it just seems like it might be a great opportunity to try something new.
But I'm un familiar with Dubai's production industry. I'm sure there is one, and he says that if you're an American with a college degree, you're very likely to find a good job. But this isn't the same field that he's in, so I don't know how true that is.
Does anyone have any input on this subject, or Dubai in general? I'd like to know everything I can, and hopefully I can take a trip there this winter to check it out if things sound doable.
