Dualeyes a few questions

I have just got myself Dual Eyes for windows. On trying a few files it appears to not to be able to extract the audio from the MTS files of my GH2, but can with the H264 files from my Nikon D5100. How can I get it to extract the audio from my GH2 recordings?

What I want to do at the moment is sync up a concert recording. One snag is the video is shorter than the cleaner separate sound I want to use. I filmed the concert with an unhacked GH2 and because of the 29 minute maximum recording time- stopped and started the camera at less important parts of the concert. The separate audio recording was done on a mini disc recorder and is complete. What is the best way of replacing the original sound if the video is shorter than the audio? I have to use Dual Eyes as my NLE is only Premiere Elements. Thanks for any hints & tips!

It does seem possible to sync them manually in this case because there are only a few but that's obviously not a long-term solution.

Have you tried putting the audio and video clips on a timeline, exporting as a Final Cut Pro XML, and then using that for syncing in Dualeyes?

I have recently done a 4 camera job and found Plural Eyes to be "da bomb" for that particular job.
In my case none of the files matched (which is pretty much the point to using Plural Eyes, right?

In case you're wondering why I'm answering a Dual Eyes question, and talking about Plural Eyes, it's because they have been combined into one product: http://www.singularsoftware.com/dualeyes.html

Anyhow, unless I'm not understanding something obvious (always possible with me) you'd want to lay your seemless audio track down, then layer the other camera(s) above it . . .
Clips from each camera on the same layer in proper order and you should be good to go.

The only place I can see you going wrong is if the two cameras are shooting at different frame rates but you'd want to check the online toots for that . . .
I think now that Red Giant has bought them up you can find guidence on their site as well as on Singular's.

Best.
