Dual layer dvd hang-up...ugly

OK, just burned my first dual layer dvd's with DVDA. It was a 3-hour project. At the halfway point that I had to choose for the layer swich, the video gets hung up for a second when you play it back. Sony told me the switch would be clean and unnoticeable.

Anyone else have this problem and find a way to fix it?

Thanks!

Welcome to hell!!! I would advise you to drop the format and get out while you're still alive. I cannot begin to tell you the horror I've had with DL-+ To answer your question, yes it's suppose to glitch for about a second then resume playback. Depending on your media format, player, and burner. Yes it is a combination of **** to make it seamless. I've ruined endless video's for clients. Long story.... I basically use DL for backup sometimes and even that worries me :violin:

It depends on the player. Some players will breeze by the layer switch like it was nothing. Some won't.

You'll find hiccups at the layer switch even with Hollywood DVDs.
