Dual Layer Blu Ray...Can DVD 5 handle it?

I'm working on a project that has rendered out to over 27gig. I have installed a new bluray burner that can burn to bd-r dual layer. I have tried to burn to a bd-r dl but so far no go I'm using Vegas 9 and I'm wondering if DVD5 can even handle a dual layer bluray disc and if not what software should I get that does. Thanks for your help.

ImgBurn is what I use for writing my projects. Although I never use DL, I'm 99% sure ImgBurn supports DL burning. I'm assuming you've authored your BD and have all the files ready for burning.

Nope didn't work. I went through over $50 worth of discs and the only thing that worked was VEGAS 9. DVD wouldn't burn the entire project even though it said it did and ImgBurn didn't work a all. I was able to burn the project to a bd-r dl using the VEGAS9 bluray burner but I'm only able to burn one copy. Since Sony not longer supports VEGAS9, looks like I'm sol.
