I was real excited to see Plural Eyes come out for Adobe, and then disheartened to find it was for CS4 and CS5 only. That didn't help me with CS3 and I wasn't going to choke down the upgrade to CS5 just to get Plural Eyes.
I downloaded this, and tried it out tonight. Lots of people have told me lining up audio is no big deal. Well....either I just don't get it, or it is because my hearing really is crap, that I have always fought to even get it close. Earlier this week I wanted to line up an MP3 with a live audio clip, to get the best of both worlds. I'll bet I have an hour invested, and got it only close enough to have it sound like the clip had some slight reverb.
Tonight, Dual Eyes lined the two up in less than 30 seconds, dropped them in the time line and they are dead on !!!!
I don't know what the differences between Dual Eyes and Plural Eyes are, and DON'T CARE right now !!!! This is something I can USE and have it SAVE me time, all while IMPROVING my quality.
So fellow CS3 users, or anyone else that doesn't have a Plural Eyes supported NLE, I highly suggest giving this a try.
Pluraleyes for PPro is a BETA version. Id will not work with all types of media .. yet.
I know cause I was trying it out and it would not match up acvhd and HDV footage. A few email later and they stated it could not handle all formats yet.
Dualeyes is standalone and does not have to parse an XML or Project file.
I'm going to output audio form each clip (form the footage with the good audio) and use dual eyes to replace the audio on the other footage.
I hope it works faster than before. I have hours of footage to match up and sometimes I think it's faster (although not as accurate) to do it by hand in the timeline.
