Dual Cast Movies

Huh? You mean like with Christopher Walken and Harrison Ford playing Han Solo? Johnny Depp and Heath Ledger playing Dr. Whoosywhatsy?

I just finished a project where both male and female leads were 50ish and had 17 year old counterparts.
Also Bonehand has a little girl and adult version, but the adult version only appears for about 20 seconds at the end.

What's your question?
It's pretty much just like casting anything else for a certain look. You cast the main version of the character first then cast the other version to look like them.

Has anyone tried to shoot or direct a movie with 2 casts?

"Dracula"(1931) came in 3 versions, sound, with English, and english speaking cast, Spanish, and a completely different spanish speaking cast, and Silent... with a completely mute cast... (I jest...)...

The Spanish version was released on a DVD with the English version, and as I recall, the Spanish cast worked nights after the english cast had shut down... as it is, I prefer the spanish cast, as the central female character is dressed a bit more sexy, than her WASPish english speaking counterpart...

It might be fun to do a horror movie wth an english cast and a Japaneese cast at the same time. I know what country it would sell best in :)

The spanish version was also a little more inventive with their camera setups and actually moved the camera around.
