Hello ya'll..

I'm a DVX100 (not 100a!) owner and I've been looking around at DTE drives. Mainly the Citidisk DV being thats its more gb's for your buck over the Firestore. I plan on sticking to DV not HD btw.

I just wanted to get some impressions/gripes of the the very few DTE drives out there (mainly for DV use), who likes what best and if the Citidisk DV is worthy of purchasing.

Also, does anyone have a used Citidisk DV or Firestore for sale?

thanks!

Katman,

I'm a distributor for both nNovia and CitiDISK hard drive recorders. What kind of features are important to you? I've personally used both the CitiDISK and nNovia with the Panasonic DVX100, 100A and 100B in the course of demoing both recorders.

The nNovia QuickCapture's biggest advantage is that it has full deck controls and a 99 bin filesystem that you can use from the front panel to organize your video on the fly. Also, the nNovia QuickCaptures have been in the field for years and I've personally sold hundreds of them with many repeat customers.

The CitiDISK's biggest advantage is the smaller size and lower cost. There's no front panel display like on the nNovia but you do get an LED feedback system to let you know what's going on. Also, you can perch the CitiDISK right on top of your DVX100 with an inexpensive accessory pack.

Drop me an email or give me a call and I'd be happy to talk hard drive recorders with you at length, including the advantages of both the CitiDISK and nNovia QuickCapture over the Focus FireStore.
