I woke up in the female toilets of a library at 4am by a security guard kicking a door in my face in a city half way across the UK.

Nobody want to share? I feel secluded and lonely in the world of drunken misfortune.

I woke up one morning in my dorm and couldnt remember how I got there. Looked around the room and it was spotless so I figured that whatever happened I doint make a mess.

Then I opened the dorm room door and saw the hallway ................ uhoh

I am constantly reading that binge drinking in the U.K. is a national epidemic and that U.K. travelers to a lot of the southern climes like Ibiza and certain areas of Greece are no longer welcome because of the out of control antics, vomiting all over the place and passing out in the streets.

Things have got to be pretty bad when in this economy, business owners in these locations are turning their single largest customers, (young Brits) away.

What do you say Ki-Ki, is this an accurate assesment of how things are over there? When I was in Scotland in 2007, I went out at night in Glasgow and Edinburgh and didn't really see this, but I was not hanging with the 20-30 year old crowd either.

Aye to be honest with you Pure, I'd say that's right.

Personally I'm more of a sit in bar with older aged men and have a quiet pint. I'm not one to get hammered and such. In fact I more than often turn out to be the one looking after the drunks.

I'm unsure what drinking is like in other state's, countries, continant's and such like.
Though here, there is a lot of binge drinkers.
Not sure if it's more than other places.
Although it does occur a lot.

Though I've heard the same thing, and reckon it's true. Especially with younger generations yes. I'm not afraid to admit that like, It's pretty bad that your country or what-not has a reputation for being messy drunks. Though I think every country has a reputation for something bad.

I'm just kinda glad it's not for exporting drug's or being the largest seller of suede shoes.
Not that selling suede drug's is bad, just saying.
^ Still very.. buzzed. If you cannot tell. :)

Well, I guess I'll share - I have nothing to hide haha. I've got lots of stories, but I guess I'll start with the most recent.

It happened on New Years, when we were to go to a club downtown. We bought tickets and then the night of had a pretty good pre-drink. We get to the club and wait in line, only to find the line moving very slow. We had to pick up our tickets at the door and eventually found out that the event coordinator had overbooked by 300 people. Cops would no longer let people into the club, as it was at capacity.

Pissed and drunk, we left to find another club to go to - it was after midnight at this time and we had missed the countdown. It was pretty cold, so we walked into the first one we found. Paid our fees there and proceeded to the bar. Knocking back more drinks and shots, the night continued on, a blurry mess. I stumbled into a bouncer (security) and he shoved me. In my drunken stupor, I shoved him back...hard. He fell and when he got up, was in my face and people eventually calmed the situation down.

Apparently that wasn't good enough for one of the bouncers though. He didn't like it, grabbed me and threw me into a wall and attempted to drag me down the steps. He pushed me down a couple steps and when I got back up, fists were thrown. We tumbled down the rest of the stairs fighting until we got to the main floor where all the other bouncers were. More fists flew and this time...not in my favour.

Once, I finally broke free of them and got out onto the street, I was yelling because they wouldn't give me my jacket back and then a group of cops on the other side of the street ran over...

Needless to say, it wasn't a fun night but I ended up getting my jacket back - too bad they cut the leather on one of the sleeves - the bastards.

* - I remember some of it....the rest was filled in by my friends who were with me at the time.

Was actually thinking I should just re-act my 48 hours for a Loss Fest entry.

But obviously I feel very perverted finding out where I was. Though it was a very genuine mistake, I guess I was just to drunk to look at signs and felt ill. I'd never do something like that. Just to point it out that I'm not a friendly local pedophile or anything.

I find it more amusing what the hell I was doing in a Library.

Just to modify

Sorry to hear that Kegan,

Bouncer's can be right prick's sometimes. People often get the wrong impression and think that your the Jackass for starting a fight - or to cause them to get involved. But most the time it's innocent mistake's or something.

They tend to be well built guy's with a split personality disorder looking for some fight's really. That's just it. Nothing profesional about it from my point of view.
