dropped my mobo in the toilet

I might as well have. Yes folks...There I was adding a stick of ram to my new motherboard when my hand slipped and bam....Broke a leg of a capacitor. now I've got the blues and I'm gonna write a hurtin, cheatin cowboy cowfukin song!!!

I HATE days like this!

Remeber what Arthur C. Clark said, "Any suitably advanced technology is indistinguishable from

HELL!!!!!"

Ok, maybe he didn't say that......

I feel for you....

On the bright side it's a chance to get into an Asus board. The one with the broken leg was an A-bit and I'll never buy another! On the dark side....The ten to twelve hours it takes to disconnect old mobo, connect new one format hard drive reload software and get the antenna pointed back toward earth and all that hoo haa...Sigh!

Now I'm paranoid...I have a new stick of RAM sitting on my desk ready to be installed. I sure wouldn't want the installation to cause my mobo to extract itself from the case, float down the hall and drop itself into the toilet! YIKES!

Did the indy style pit stop...new power supply, new motherboard, complete tower cleaning, format and all software and haedware loaded in 8.5 Hrs. The Asus P5P800 board never once flinched....Man that's proves that Asus boards decended from the roswell crash, alien ships use these boards to run their ships...Stunning piece of technology.

Sorry to resurect this, But I'm STOKED cos I'm up and runnin again!!!!

Grr. This is disappointing AGAIN.

The first time I saw this thread I was all intrigued and wanting to hear how on earth someone could manage to drop a motherboard in the toilet. Now that it got bumped I'm disappointed for a second time. Do you think maybe you could drop the old A-bit board in the toilet just for kicks? Post pics.

Elizabeth Hurrrrrrr!!!!!! She's the one I've been saving myself for. At least that's what I've been telling her in my weekly letters. :)
