Don't know if you guys know about Dropbox, it is in beta testing, but I just got onto it through a friend. They give you 2 Gb free, which is pretty good for single projects. Essentially, it is an online storage space that syncs with your computer. Whatever you edit on the computer syncs with the online space in a matter of seconds. The huge advantage is that you can share a folder with someone else. Doing so, you can both see pretty much real-time updated files...my friend is editing a project with someone on the west coast. He edits and then the other person can look or go in and edit, saves them having to email or ftp large files.
If you want 2.25 Gb (they give you 250 Mb since it is through my referral link -- I get a free 250 Mb for each person I refer, why I am posting my link) go to: https://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTM3MjU4ODc5
If you just want to check it out, http://www.dropbox.com has info about it. Don't know if people can use it, but it has made it easier for me to work with my partner who lives in another part of the city.
