Drop shadows & outlines on titles not showing up in preview window

Hello. When I use the standard title plug in to create a title, I can only get the drop shadow to show up on my text in the preview window when I choose a color other than black. Other effects like Deformation work fine and change the text in immediatly in the preview window. I think this has something to do with the black becoming an Alpha channel, and becoming transparent. I've messed with lots of settings, but I just can't get the black shadows or outlines to show up. They show up down in the thumbnail view on the title clip on the time line. I see them there over a checkered background. But on the actual preview window, where the title is superimposed over my video, they do not show up. Any ideas? Thanks. Matt

Try putting a white card under the title on the timeline and see if the shadows are there.

I just figured it out, thanks to you.

When I went to set up a test project to get some capture screens to show you, it actually worked with the white card. Then I went to look at what I did differently, and I see now where if my white card is below the titles, it works, but if my white card is above the title track, the drop shadows don't work. I'm sure there is an explanation for this:laugh: but I'm just happy to have it working.

If the white card track is above the title track, you won't see the title at all. Unless you're working in 3D space or something.
