Drop outs and image freeze on capture

We are trying to capture footage we shot with the dvx100b and we are getting drop outs and freezes on certain part of the image and time code brakes. I looked at the tape on a monitor and the footage is fine. We tried all sorts of different things and we still have problemes with the capture. Any idea what can cause the problem??
