Driving....

Actually that looks like Asian traffic (Phillipines, Indonesia?) to me.

But it does have the sort of "random organization" that you would see in a beehive. Quite beautiful, actually. The average American driver wouldn't survive 10 minutes without getting in an accident. Bostonians would probably survive 15 minutes.

I think you are right. I've ridden in those motorcycle-taxi-buggy-things in Thailand and the Philippines before. It was crazy.... better than disneyland.

Try riding in one of those taxis while holding your DVX out the side with two fingers. One of the scariest moments of my life.

you know the funny thing is, i was in Rome llast summer, full on traffic season. And they have almost no traffic lights or stop signs. YEt everyone strictly follows a fewsimple traffic rules, mostly pretaining to right of way, and their traffic was, despite huge volume, flowing smoothly and gracefully. i was AMAZED.

I hate traffic and driving on crowded streets....I don't even like to drive into Northwest Portland.....

I went to Portugal a few years back, and despite the narrow streets, I remember traffic flowing pretty well....Seattle during rush hour is pretty bad, but then again, rush hour is bad everywhere....and it's lasting longer and longer. I swear rush hour starts at 2pm and lasts till 8 sometimes.
