Drama screenplay suggestions ?

[Randall_Oelerich]

I am going to order a few great drama screenplays from scriptfly.com -- looking for stories that have it all, exotic locations, great theme, great characters, moral premise, the whole shebang. One such script on my list will be The Mission (Jeremy Irons, Robert De Niro, Liam Neeson; music by Ennio Morricone). Looking for some other suggestions so I can order five or six scripts to save on postage. Suggestions?

Don't order anything:

and read ScriptShadow's top 25 scripts at:

****

This is all the script reading you will need. Read "Source Code" on the top 25 list. It's like groundhog day but in SciFi and it's very, very interesting.

Thanks Charli. There might be some scripts at those links I could print out. I would want to have printed pages, not just read them off the web. I am one of those types that likes holding and flipping pages. Thus the Kindle will never get my money (one of the few things at Amazon.com I do NOT buy, LOL). I think the toner to print out those free scripts on the websites might cost a bit, but I will consider that-- maybe print off the web publicly available screenplays, if indeed they are screenplays and not transcripts (too many of those floating around, not sure why).

But for example i do not see The Mission available as a freebie on the net, so some scripts I have to rake out the dead presidents for, like The Mission.

Try here for those hard to find scripts:

I do not see The Mission there. I think some screenplays must be purchased, too hard to find on the web.

I also enjoy reading something on paper, but I've been getting better with reading scripts on my laptop. My mouse's scroll wheel has helped a lot in that regard. Still, nothing can replace the feeling of turning each page, jotting down notes on the side, and gradually feeling the stack of paper grow thinner and thinner beneath your hands.
