DP7 Pro refuses to update to version 3.0 firmware, is this normal???

I have a SmallHD DP7 Pro monitor. I never had any problem updating firmware until the release of version 3.0
I did everything correctly according to SmallHD's instructions on how to update firmware via FAT32 formatted SD card.
But the DP7 Pro simply refuses to load the firmware 3.0 update. When I press "update" in the menu, the monitor simply restarts, and I'm stuck with the 2.0 version.

Has anyone else with a DP 7 Pro monitor run into this problem?
 
I didn't have any issues going to v3.0.1. Did you remember to disconnect the power completely(unplug the power cable, not just turn it off) when you're done?
 
Hi Run&Gun, thank you for your reply. Actually I was finally able to get the 3.0 firmware to install but now my DP 7 Pro no longer sees the HDMI signal coming out of the A7s. I tried everything, but no luck with the HDMI signal with firmware 3.0 . After reverting to 2.0, the HDMI signal was restored.

I believe i did unplug the power cord, but I can't be sure. Will try it again tomorrow.
 
That's weird about the HDMI signal. I don't remember reading anything in the release notes about that type of issue and I don't usually use HDMI, so I haven't experienced that myself. You may want to contact the guys at smallHD directly. Their customer service is very good and I'm sure they will help you.
