Hello guys,
Finally,I finished editing my new reel. I would love to get some comments from you guys. I'll be much appreciated.
One of my best friend offered me a small free grading section so I want to get it cut as good as possible before showing up.

(I am not sure why the 3rd,4th and 5th shots show up so grainy on Vimeo, compression?? Before 1GB--->50MB or more like underexpose?)

Thanks for posting. Before I comment, I'd like to know why would you make an ungraded demo reel? I mean, what do you mean by that? Wasn't the footage already graded from when it was originally part of a completed film?

Hi Ryan, I am sorry for the confusion.
All the footage are from the master copy, not from completed film, so there is no touching up done to the footage yet.
Of course, those are not Raw metadata, a lot of data already burn on footage since the second I hit record. So one of my best friend offered me to do some small fixing on the footage (grading), he will do what he can. Just small adjustment, nothing dramatic look.
This is not a final cut yet but pretty close, hopefully get some comments on the cut and I will go back to fix it up a bit. I just uploaded it temporary and named ungraded so I don't get confuse myself.

Thanks for the reply and hope this clear the confusion tho. I apologize in advance if I used wrong terminology and got you more confuse.

Ben I'd say the big thing that stood out to me most, watching that as a 'DP' reel - was the high percentage of mid-shots. I reckon a greater variety of wide, closeup and extreme-closeup compositions would help the reel appear more varied. Also if you have any shots with more complex camera moves that'd add quite a bit to it too.

Hope that helps.

Hey Grug, thanks for the comments, I might consider taking out some mids to replace with extreme close up. Complex camera moves, that will be the first thing i need for the next project.
