DP forgot to switch on the 24pa button

I have a 23.98 project with 24pa footage. there are a couple of clips where the dp shot it in i guess regular 24p framerate.

i recently upgraded to FCP 6 and the footage will not play properly in my sequence. when I had FCP 5.1.2 i would be able to see the footage and it would just give me a red line, i would render it and it would look fine. Now the footage is all sped up/dropping frames and i have no render option.

How do i fix this footage so i can use it???

If you want to use it in a 24p sequence- you'd capture at 29.97 and then run it through Cinema Tools to reverse telecine back to 24p. I show how this is done on my DVD, or you can see the process also here:
